Moreton bay fig trees were planted through out Southern California in the late nineteenth century. Since 1986 Finch Tree has cared for a stately pair at Rancho Los Alamito Historic Ranch and Gardens in Long Beach. They received recognition as Heroes of Horticulticulture in 2007 by The Cultural Landscape Foundation.
