Pruning / Removal / Planting
Your trees are most precious gifts to future generations. Professional investment in their care today returns an ever increasing value that continues to mature over decades.
Pruning to compliment nature with your purpose
Nature has determined over millions of years how a tree should grow. And for the most part we agree that nature's design produces the most beautiful tree with the safest structure that needs the least maintenance. The trick is to know what the design is for each different species. It takes decades of touching trees and observing the result of our action before this grand design, unique to each, makes sense. Today our emphasis is preservation through strengthening nature's design. In this effort, "Less is best" is our motto.
Removal to improve landscapes when preservation fails
Preferring replacement to removal we are in the preservation, not firewood, business. But, occasionally a tree has to be removed. It may have died or been severely damaged. It may be a weedy invasive species crowding out a precious native. Whatever the reason, tree removal is one of the most hazardous operations for the tree professional, both to the workers and the surrounding property. Specialized equipment and training are necessary to remove most trees safely and efficiently.
Planting to renew landscapes for your future needs
If you travel the foothills of California, you have noticed the beautiful native oak forests. On your next trip, notice that most of the trees you see are large. Where are the young saplings, those future giants of the forest? Land management practice needs to focus on trees for future generations in the woodlands as well as in our own yard. We can help with selection and planting new or replacement trees in your landscape.
